INTRODUCTION
Here we are talk about sundarbans,one of the largest reserve forest in the world.it is enlisted as UNESCO World Heritage sites. It is famous for its mangrove forest.the mangrove area mostly covered by salt water,mud flats,barren lands and several islands.Mainly sundarbans is the largest delta in the world combination of 102 islands.It is formed by the confluence of three main rivers such as Ganges,Brahmaputra,and Meghna river and spread across the mouth of bay of Bengal.

WIDOW VILLAGE: MOST OF THE TIGER WIDOWS LIVED HERE
Sundarban also known for bengal tigar as well as numerous species including birds, spotted deer snakes and crocodile.many villages are settled near the forest. Sometime aged tiger came in locality for hunting and killed domestic animal such as goats, cows etc. There is a village situated in this area named widow village.it is close to the tiger reserve project.why such a name like this.In general, the local folks of sundarban hunt fishes and collecting honey for their living.so necessarily they have to go the deep forest. as a result many people were killed by tiger while hunting fish and collecting honey.for this reason their wives getting widow. It is heard that most of the wives lives here who lost their husband by tiger attacked. Therefore, the name was originated from this situation. So everyday the folks of the sundarban being struggle for their living.
SURVIVAL OF FITTEST:A STORY OF STRUGGLING INHABITANT
Sundarban is a cyclone prone areas due to its proximity towards bay of bengal. Sundarbans are always under commination from natural cause as well as so called man made development. In 2009 cyclone Aila crush heavily in sundarbans with massive damaged. Minimum 1lakh people were suffered by this cyclone. Again in 2020 amphan cyclone damaged more effectively. During the cyclone sea level was increased,as a result the water of the rivers rises and gradually it swallowed islands which is situated besides the rivers. mainly sea water mixed with rivers and rivers were more salty it damaged the Fertilisation qualities of soil.in consequences So many of the local people of the islands were affected. They lost their home, farmland and sometime their domestic animal.however the struggle of the people of world Heritage sites beyond your imagination.

The mangrove forest of sundarban covered a huge areas. It is work as a protected barrier to protect sundarban as well as the nearest city kolkata. So cutting down mangrove isn't a good idea. We should choose a alternative ways for urban Development. Otherwise we will bring danger in our lives.
